„It’s never all that crowded—though I’ve never understood why.”
Located at the Kulturforum, Berlin’s Gemäldegalerie has an epic collection of European paintings. Its relatively simple exterior hides works by Dürer, Tizian and Rubens, to name just a few. It also has a comprehensive Rembrandt collection. It’s one of the most sublime places that Berlin has to offer, and its made all the better by the fact that it’s never all that crowded—though I’ve never understood why.
