„A small but very significant statement in Tbilisi’s booming art scene.”
Patara Gallery, which translates to “small gallery”, is an experimental, artist-run space located in an underground street crossing in the heart of Tbilisi. An ordinary underpass shop transformed to an art gallery, it invites artists to find new forms, try out new ideas, take over the gallery space, and to create, perform or showcase their works without limitations. Patara Gallery has already proven its reputation and authenticity with the shows it’s organized since its 2018 opening, but it promises even more in the future after its reconstruction in 2020. It is definitely a small but very significant statement in Tbilisi’s booming art scene that never disappoints.
