„Primăverii Palace lets you see how the Ceaușescus used to live.”
Who knew the Ceaușescus were so obsessed with peacocks? Here, at the dictator couple's former residence in the city's luxurious Primăverii neighborhood, the peacocks are everywhere, both real and illustrated, on colorful plates, mosaics, paintings and even adorning a swimming pool. This mansion, which was opened a few years ago, lets you experience how the dictator's lived (and decorated). The tour is an amazing experience that lets you visit things like their private cinema, their weird spa room and even their personal nuclear bunker. Skip the Palace of the People and do this instead.
