Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum - A big and eclectic museum in King Michael I Park

„Here you can get a glimpse of how people lived in traditional Romanian villages.”

See how Romanian people traditionally lived in the villages (and how some of them still do!). This is a large and unique museum, in King Michael I Park, that's made up of a series of houses that were brought from villages around the country. Situated on a lake, you can also take a tour of old authentic fisherman's houses. If you want to visit the museum side of the park, you need to pay a small fee, the rest is free. Take a romantic evening walk on its “Roses Island” or a morning bike tour around the lake.
