Mai Manó Ház

Contemporary photography museum with a collection of works by local and international artists.

About this place

Mai Manó Ház is the Hungarian House of Photography. Eight stories high, the house was built in 1894 by Mai Manó, one of the country's most prominent photographers. Now it houses a collection of contemporary photographic works from local and international artists (works by Robert Capa, Elliot Erwitt and Weegee are all included). After viewing its collection, stop to appreciate its architectural facade, which offers beautiful touches like stained glass windows and hand-carved banisters.
