This quiet and cozy park is an absolute must-see. Named after King Carol I of Romania and designed by French landscape artist Édouard Redont, it is both a major historical monument and a place for leisure. Because of its location on Filaret hill, Parcul Carol has beautiful panoramic views of the city. While wandering about the park’s endless nature, make sure to pay the numerous fountains and statues—as well as the open-air Roman Arena, the Astronomical Institute of the Romanian Academy and the Technical Museum which lets you experience the engineering wonders of the past—a visit.
