The National Museum of Maps and Old Books houses artifacts from Romania and the rest of the world. Maps are organized by geographical location. Here, you can learn all about history by looking at the maps created during specific time periods, some dating as far back as the 1500s. There are also interactive installations, puzzles and games that tell stories and secrets about map-making. The building itself is very beautiful and located in a very pleasant neighborhood quieter than the bustling downtown. It’s a great destination if you want to visit with kids or families. Look for the stained glass maps scattered throughout the museum.
